A&G Global Investors strengthens its alternative investment team with the appointment of Carmen Toribio as the new Real Estate Investment Director.
With over a decade of experience, Toribio has spent the past seven years in the investment team at CBRE, where she advised on the acquisition, sale, and asset management of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties for institutional investors, private funds, and family offices. Previously, she was part of CBRE’s International Valuations division, leading portfolio and individual asset valuations for major financial institutions.
In addition to her finance experience, she has worked as an architect in various architectural firms, including Studio Urquiola and Inglada-Arevalo Arquitectos Asociados. She holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School and a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
Toribio’s appointment is part of the firm’s growth strategy in the real estate area, which last July signed a €130 million investment agreement with the European Investment Bank to promote affordable housing, sustainable tourism, and urban regeneration.
In recent weeks, the firm has also formalized a strategic alliance with Grupo Marjal to develop new Senior Living projects and an agreement with Homes by Gestilar to drive renovation and value enhancement in the housing stock.
Toribio has now joined the team led by Jaime Trigo, head of A&G’s real estate division, who joined the firm a year ago to lead its real estate investment strategy.
