The Barcelona-based tech startup Steryon, specialized in cybersecurity, has successfully closed its first funding round of one million euros, led by 4Founders Capital and Abac Nest Ventures.

Steryon offers a platform designed to help industrial companies manage cyber risk in a more structured and straightforward way. It integrates three key pillars: continuous visibility, regulatory compliance, and incident response based on the impact of a security breach. All of this, according to a company statement, is delivered through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. "Steryon's approach is based on translating the technical complexity of cybersecurity into an integrated, understandable, and actionable risk vision," the company explains.

Maria Taberna, founder of Steryon, is an engineer specialized in industrial cybersecurity. She brings prior experience in tech entrepreneurship as the founder of Oylo, and later joined the corporate world when the company was acquired by Rockwell Automation, where she led several cybersecurity projects. "After more than a decade working in industrial cybersecurity, I’ve had the opportunity to closely experience the sector’s challenges," she states. "With Steryon, we want to change the paradigm: offer solutions that speak their language, integrate into operations, and protect what matters most with intelligence," she adds. And she concludes: "Industrial cybersecurity can no longer be an isolated or reactive effort — it must be a strategic business capability."

With the capital raised, Steryon plans to accelerate the development of its technology, expand its technical and commercial teams, and broaden its customer base, especially within key industrial sectors. The company is already collaborating with operators from various industries and aims to scale its national and international presence in the coming months.

"At 4Founders, we saw in Steryon a high-impact proposition, led by a team with deep knowledge of the problem and the context in which it occurs. Their vision is ambitious and has been executed with focus from day one," said Marc Badosa, partner and founder of 4Founders Capital.

"At Abac Nest Ventures, we support technical founders with a clear vision and strong execution. Steryon represents a new generation of industrial solutions born in the field, with modular technology, AI-powered intelligent engines, and a clear focus on real impact," noted Joan Pina, partner at Abac Nest Ventures.
