Just one year after its launch, the Catalan company Kloutit, founded by Albert Algarra, Alexis Pairetti, and Adrián Algarra, has surpassed 190 active clients and operates in nine countries.

Kloutit has positioned itself as the world’s first fully AI-based automated chargeback defense tool, tackling an issue that affects any business accepting card payments, particularly under the international Visa and Mastercard schemes.

Its client portfolio includes major tech companies and platforms such as Wallapop, Cabify, Playtomic, Factorial, TaxDown, Stayforlong, and several international hotel groups. According to Albert Algarra, CEO: “We serve many e-commerce businesses through Shopify, and also global leaders who, due to confidentiality clauses, we cannot disclose.”

On average, chargebacks impact 30% of companies’ EBITDA. Thanks to Kloutit, clients have achieved a 5.5x increase in recovered capital, reaching over €1 million in just one year in some cases.

Algarra explains: “Manual chargeback management is unscalable, costly, and frustrating. With Kloutit, companies drastically reduce the time spent while achieving much better results. Many tell us: ‘If you took Kloutit away now, I couldn’t go back to my previous way of managing chargebacks.’”

The company operates in Spain, Portugal, USA, UAE, Argentina, Mexico, UK, Italy, and Colombia, covering sectors such as travel and tourism, retail, SaaS, subscriptions, ticketing, financial services, education, and gaming. In 2026, the focus will be especially on tourism, a sector highly exposed to chargebacks due to cancellations, changes, incidents, high average ticket prices, and tight margins.

Kloutit provides an innovative chargeback defense model that generates ultra-personalized solutions through AI in seconds, freeing teams from repetitive tasks and enabling higher profitability while protecting revenue
