The initiative, developed by Bcombinator with the support of Bizkaia, will select 12 startups to take part in an intensive six-week program at BAT B Accelerator Tower, located in Bilbao, with the aim of facilitating their expansion into the European market, establishing their presence in the Bizkaia region, and generating opportunities for collaboration with corporates and investors.
Bcombinator has opened applications for its new Bilbao 2026 Acceleration Program, an initiative designed to attract startups with growth potential and the ability to establish themselves in Europe, turning Bizkaia into a strategic entry point for international technology companies.
The program will select 12 startups to take part in an immersive six-week experience at BAT B Accelerator Tower (Bilbao), one of the leading innovation hubs in southern Europe.
The goal is to accelerate the growth of innovative companies with international scaling potential, giving them access to the Basque business ecosystem and creating real opportunities for collaboration with corporates, investment, and establishment in the region.
During the program, the startups will work alongside the Bcombinator team and a network of experts through an itinerary that combines personalized strategic mentoring, specialized training, networking sessions, and support throughout their expansion process.
One of the program's distinguishing features will be its softlanding service, developed with the support of Grant Thornton, which will offer international startups specialized advice on legal, tax, corporate, and labor matters, along with support to facilitate their establishment and business development in Bizkaia.
In addition, the program is designed to foster collaboration between startups and large companies by defining innovation challenges and exploring pilot projects with local corporates. At the same time, startups will receive specific preparation to face investment processes and will present their projects to investors during a final Demo Day.
The call is open to national and international startups that already have a validated product and are looking to accelerate their growth in Europe, validate business opportunities, or establish a permanent presence in the European market.
With this initiative, Bcombinator reinforces its commitment to connecting entrepreneurial talent, investment, and business, creating new opportunities for Bizkaia's innovation ecosystem and further establishing the region as an attractive destination for technology startups with international ambitions.
Interested startups can submit their applications until August 31, 2026.The program will begin in October 2026 and will take place at the BAT B Accelerator Tower facilities in Bilbao.
