Talenta Gestión SGIIC SA has supported the Santacana family in the establishment of their new private equity company, Palawah, with an initial fully subscribed capital of €10 million.
Palawah, whose sole shareholder is Anangu Grup, the holding company that controls 99.96% of the Catalan air conditioning equipment distributor Eurofred, is headquartered in Barcelona and will be managed by Talenta Gestión. The company will begin its investment activity by taking temporary stakes in other investment vehicles or, directly, in companies across various sectors, excluding real estate and financial services, in line with standard private equity practices.
At the helm of Palawah is Marta Santacana Gri, serving as president and also the sole administrator of Anangu and Eurofred. The board of directors of the SCR also includes Marc Sabé Richer and María Romero Miguel, professionals linked to the family holding.
Talenta Gestión continues to support entrepreneurial families in structuring and managing their investment vehicles, providing strategic vision, diversification, and efficiency in asset management.
According to its latest report, Anangu Grup was already investing in third-party private equity vehicles. In addition, the company holds direct or indirect stakes in listed companies such as Wallbox and Airtificial, and is active in the audiovisual sector through co-productions of animated films, including the award-winning Mariposas negras.
Palawah represents a strategic step for the Santacana family, allowing them to consolidate their direct entry into private equity and diversify their investment portfolio beyond their core industrial activity.
