Teset Capital, an independent fund manager specialized in mid-market European infrastructure investments, has acquired Sologas, a waste and water treatment and biogas production plant. This transaction marks Teset Capital’s first project in the environmental infrastructure sector and adds to the firm’s existing portfolio in the energy and telecommunications industries. The deal, valued at €20 million, was completed following a rigorous auction process overseen by the court responsible for insolvency proceedings.
Founded in 2011 and operational since 2015, Sologas is located in As Somozas, A Coruña. The company operates several production lines — including a composting plant, a co-digestion plant, and a hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste treatment plant — which generate fertilizers, growing substrates, and water. Since 2024, the company has also been producing and marketing biomethane. In total, Sologas has a waste processing capacity of up to 220,000 tons per year, of which 99.5% is recovered, and produces 27.3 GWh/year of biomethane. This biomethane is transformed on-site into bio-LNG (liquefied renewable natural gas) through a liquefaction process, making Sologas the only bio-LNG plant in Spain.
