Squire Patton Boggs has advised Fortescue, the Australian green energy and resources company, on its acquisition of 100% of the Spanish company Nabrawind Technologies. Based in Navarra, Nabrawind is dedicated to the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced components for wind turbines.
The transaction builds on Fortescue's previous minority stake and strengthens its international innovation ecosystem in support of its decarbonisation strategy. Nabrawind's cutting-edge technology enables the installation of taller towers without large cranes, improving logistics and efficiency for onshore wind projects.
The Squire Patton Boggs team advising Fortescue was led by partner Teresa Zueco, with support from senior associate Manuel Gómez and associate Jorge Boguñá, from the Corporate and M&A Practice in Madrid.
