The 105th edition of the mentorDay Acceleration Program concluded with its monthly online networking event, DemoDay, on Thursday, February 5. This edition corresponds to the 5th edition of CiberEmprende, a program developed in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), in which Mer López and her platform Sennia IA emerged as the winner.
At this first DemoDay of the year, as in every edition, the top projects from the Acceleration Program presented their proposals to a select panel of judges from the entrepreneurial ecosystem in a Pitch Combat format—fast-paced one-minute rounds in which each entrepreneur must present and defend their project.
The standout winner of the night was Mer López with her project Sennia, the first AI platform for educators worldwide, designed to reduce the administrative workload that currently consumes much of teachers’ time, including evaluations, reports, planning, and mandatory documentation. Sennia operates with AI assistants trained on real official curricula and current regulations, tailored by educational stage and, in the case of Spain, by autonomous community, to generate documents and support pedagogical processes with consistency and curricular accuracy.
Sennia is not a general-purpose tool; it is a complete ecosystem aimed at improving teachers’ personal and professional lives by optimizing time management and reducing repetitive tasks. The platform ensures pedagogical rigor, prevents curricular errors, is easy to use, and guarantees data security. Launched in late October 2025, Sennia already has over 150 subscribed educators, with plans for further consolidation throughout the year.
The other major winner of the night was Jaime Santos with his project AiAction, unanimously selected as the most investable project of the edition by a panel of five expert investors during the Investor Day held on February 4. AiAction is a digital solution designed to detect fires and critical events, such as leaks or floods, early and in real time.
Finally, the highest-ranked participant of this edition was Alba López, with 9,197 points, setting a new record in mentorDay. (Associated profile: @friends2goapp)
The 105th edition of the mentorDay Acceleration Program is part of the 5th and final edition of CiberEmprende, an initiative developed with INCIBE aimed at promoting digital and cybersecurity solutions.
The call for applications began on December 16 with 183 registered participants. During Phase 1, participants worked independently for one month, combining daily reading of tips and quizzes while developing the chapters of their business plan. In Phase 2, an average of 48 entrepreneurs attended daily webinars with experts in various fields to refine and complete their plans. Given the focus on CiberEmprende, the program offered enhanced content in cybersecurity and digital processes, with more specialized training hours and a greater number of experts than in previous editions.
In total, 30 entrepreneurs accelerated their projects and received accreditation, 20 of them with initiatives focused on cybersecurity and digitalization. In Phase 3, CiberEmprende participants will receive 60 hours of mentoring over the next month to continue progressing, while the remaining participants will be assigned a mentor for a year based on each project’s needs—all at no cost to the entrepreneur.
As in previous editions, the program will culminate in-person in Tenerife on March 12, with a special DemoDay featuring new pitches and potential investors. Only the top 10 projects of the edition will be invited to participate.
Meanwhile, the mentorDay Acceleration Program continues with a new edition each month. Participants of the 106th edition are already in Phase 1, and the 107th edition will begin on February 14. Registrations are now open at https://mentorday.es/inscripcion/
