Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) has successfully closed a landmark USD 200 million Pre-Delivery Payment (PDP) Facility for LATAM Airlines, providing financing for the pre-delivery payments associated with the acquisition of 23 new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft.
In the transaction, Santander CIB acted as Global Coordinator & Bookrunner, Mandated Lead Arranger, Co-Structuring Agent, Facility Agent and Security Agent, playing a central role in the structuring, coordination and execution of the financing.
The transaction represents a significant milestone for both organisations and reflects the strong partnership, mutual trust and long-standing relationship between Santander CIB and LATAM Airlines.
The facility will support LATAM Airlines' fleet renewal programme by financing the pre-delivery payments required during the manufacturing and delivery process for its new generation Airbus aircraft.
With this transaction, Santander CIB further reinforces its expertise in delivering complex financing solutions for the aviation sector, supporting clients in executing strategic investments and long-term growth initiatives.
