Samaipata, a pan-European fund investing in early-stage tech companies, has announced its partnership with Anthropic, the company behind Claude and a global leader in AI, valued at $350 billion. Samaipata becomes the first Spanish fund to offer its portfolio companies preferential access to the services of this tech giant. This move is part of the fund’s strategy to consolidate a network of partnerships with leading technology providers, following a recent agreement with Nvidia and in line with existing collaborations with Google (Cloud and Gemini), Microsoft (Azure), AWS, and Perplexity.
This partnership is part of Anthropic’s program for venture capital funds and will strengthen the technological resources available to Samaipata’s portfolio companies, facilitating access to advanced generative AI models and specialized technical support. Overall, this partnership represents approximately €500,000 in benefits and technical services for the fund’s portfolio companies. The goal is to accelerate the adoption of these technologies from the earliest stages of growth and support product development and startup scalability.
The fund emphasizes that integrating generative AI as a cross-cutting layer in product development has become a key competitive factor, especially in markets where speed of execution and the ability to scale efficiently are critical.
According to Samaipata, this partnership expands the generative AI capabilities available to its portfolio. Specifically, the agreement provides a significant volume of credits, valued at approximately €500,000 in total, for Samaipata startups to access:
Additionally, portfolio startups will receive specialized technical support and guidance from early development stages, as well as access to exclusive events, training sessions, and product launches within Anthropic’s ecosystem.
Alberto Cuevas, partner at Samaipata, explained that collaborations of this kind reflect a long-term vision of how venture capital can strengthen technological development in companies from early stages.
“Our approach is to support founding teams in key product and technology decisions, providing access to tools that are already setting the industry standard. Programs like Anthropic’s allow startups to integrate top-tier generative AI early and on a solid foundation,” he stated.
Cuevas also emphasized that the fund’s network of partnerships aims to enhance the existing talent in the European ecosystem and accelerate its international projection.
“In Europe and Spain, there are teams with tremendous innovation capacity. Our role is to help them build competitive products from the start with reference technology, connecting them to leading tech platforms like Anthropic, alongside agreements with Nvidia, Google, Microsoft, AWS, and Perplexity,” he concluded.
With this initiative, Samaipata continues to expand an ecosystem designed to support its startups beyond capital, in an environment increasingly shaped by the accelerated adoption of AI
