The venture capital firm Samaipata, which specializes in early-stage tech startups, concluded 2025 with a total investment volume of 17 million euros. According to an official statement, the firm participated in a total of 13 investments—comprising both initial entries and follow-on funding for existing portfolio companies—across Spain, Ireland, France, and Germany, with a primary focus on the European Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector.

Strategic Focus and Key 2025 Investments

The firm framed the year as a period defined by the accelerated adoption of AI for end-use cases and its absorption as a transversal technological layer in software development. Samaipata oriented its activity toward identifying teams capable of converting this technological advantage into commercially viable products with international ambitions.

Specifically, this strategy materialized through investments in:

  • Genesy (Spain): A company focused on automating sales processes and workflows.
  • Konvo (Germany/Spain): A conversational AI platform for e-commerce brands designed to improve customer experience and conversion rates.
  • Unnamed Spanish company: A startup applying AI to automate corporate bureaucratic processes, ranging from interpreting requirements to the autonomous filing of administrative obligations.

Portfolio Performance and Strategic Alliances

In addition to new entries, Samaipata carried out ten follow-on investments in portfolio companies currently in key expansion phases. Notably, 60% of the portfolio has successfully "graduated" to subsequent funding rounds. Examples include:

  • Nory: Scaled to a $38 million Series B round led by Kinnevik.
  • PropHero: Advanced with a €16 million Series A.
  • Vivla: Secured a new €8 million growth round, supplemented by €55 million in alternative financing.

In addition, in 2025, the fund announced the addition of Nvidia to its strategic alliance network. This network already included partners such as Google (Cloud and Gemini), Microsoft (Azure), AWS, and Perplexity. This program aims to accelerate the operational and technological capabilities of portfolio startups. It does this through preferential access to top-tier tools, services, and support.

Outlook for 2026

Looking ahead to 2026, Samaipata indicated it will continue exploring new applications and verticals. These applications and verticals are where applied AI can further drive efficiency, productivity, and growth.

The firm believes that AI adoption is entering a phase of mass deployment. It asserts that AI is transforming not only products but also how companies are built, teams are operated, and how competition unfolds in global markets
