The fan-to-fan ticket resale company Rebel Tickets has closed its pre-seed investment round, reaching €500,000. This 2025 round was progressively raised and backed by several individual investors (business angels), who believe in the potential of the Biscay-based startup.
Rebel Tickets was created with the commitment to tackle two of the main issues in the resale market: price speculation and ticket counterfeiting. It is not a resale platform where brokers and bots take advantage of fans, but rather a safe marketplace where buyers and sellers can trade without fears of scams or overpaying.
In 2025, the company recorded year-over-year (YoY) GMV growth of more than 700% compared to the previous year. In addition, the number of registered users on the platform has increased tenfold relative to 2024, surpassing 1.5 million unique users throughout the year.
“This year we’ve already seen that there is a clear gap in the market: fans are looking for a safe environment outside social media to buy and sell tickets for music and sports events. This financial support enables us to accelerate our growth and continue developing solutions that will transform the live music events industry,” said Asier Bengoa, founder and CEO of Rebel Tickets.
Rebel Tickets has also established itself as a strategic ally for promoters, venues, and ticketing companies, with the goal of eradicating speculative resale and offering a safe, fair, and transparent fan-to-fan ticket marketplace. More than 50 promoters in Spain already rely on the platform to guarantee an ethical and trustworthy ticket exchange experience.
The Biscay-based company has also been actively advocating for clear and effective regulation to protect consumers and eliminate abusive practices, such as the use of bots or professional resellers. The draft of the Sustainable Consumer Law announced this year was a first step in that direction, but Bengoa noted at its presentation in July that it must “firmly pursue platforms that allow and encourage speculative resale with no control or effective oversight of buyers and sellers,” and “support those fan-to-fan platforms that incorporate real security, transparency, and traceability measures.”
