Barcelona-based startup Publicit has closed a €700,000 pre-seed funding round led by BStartup, Banco Sabadell’s venture initiative, and Successful Fund. With this investment, the company aims to democratize access to global advertising for small and medium-sized businesses.
The project is led by founders Jordi Orteu, Gabriel García Asensio, and Andrés Buendía, whose previous experience includes organizations such as CERN and tech companies like Deel and Seedtag. The round also included participation from Aticco Labs and several prominent business angels from the Spanish startup ecosystem.
Notable investors include Juanjo Mostazo from Homa Games, Teresa López from LOVE TV, and Francesc Riverola, founder of FXStreet, among others.
Publicit aims to address one of the advertising industry’s main challenges: the difficulty SMEs face in independently accessing global advertising inventory. To solve this, the company has developed a self-service infrastructure that allows advertisers to launch omnichannel campaigns across multiple formats and platforms from a single system.
Powered by proprietary technology, the platform processes advertising auctions in under five milliseconds while eliminating intermediaries, making channels such as connected TV, digital out-of-home advertising, and online audio more accessible.
Market conditions are also playing in the startup’s favor. The global advertising industry, valued at more than $1 trillion in 2025, is undergoing rapid transformation driven by digitalization and channel fragmentation.
Within this landscape, connected TV (CTV) has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments, with projections suggesting it will surpass traditional television in the coming years. Publicit aims to position itself at the center of this shift, targeting the underserved SME segment left behind by giants such as Google and Meta.
