Plenium Partners, an independent Spanish investment group specializing in energy, energy transition, circular economy, and social infrastructure, together with its partner Bankinter Investment SGEIC, today announce their entry into the student housing sector in Italy with the acquisition of an asset in Turin. With this investment, Plenium Partners and Bankinter aim to consolidate their student housing platform in Southern Europe.
Specifically, the asset is a student residence located near the University of Turin, with a capacity of 331 beds. The property consists of two buildings, has been operational since September 2024, and offers shared study areas, communal kitchens, sports facilities, green and leisure spaces, as well as laundry services. The building holds a LEED® Gold certification, demonstrating that it features a high-performance envelope, highly efficient systems, reduced water consumption, and a high-quality indoor environment. The complex also includes Caffè Sospeso, open to both students and the local community, and Blossom Rooms, 21 rooms intended for short-stay tourist accommodation.
The residence is managed under the RELIFE brand, a socially responsible operator that, in addition to providing high-quality hospitality services, seeks to create an active community engaged with the third sector.
With this transaction, Plenium Partners and Bankinter Investment now manage eight projects, totaling more than 3,600 beds across student residences in Spain, Portugal, and now Italy.
This new addition to their portfolio further consolidates the student housing platform for Southern Europe developed by both firms.
