Playtomic, the world's largest community of racket sports players and clubs, has closed a new €65 million financing round. Of this amount, €55 million comes from investors, while €10 million corresponds to debt financing granted by Banco Santander. These funds will allow the company to strengthen its presence in strategic markets such as the United States, United Kingdom and Germany, as well as to improve its technology and services.

The round was led by Match Invest, a financial vehicle led by Playtomic CEO Félix Ruiz, together with the Luxembourg fund LFH (Luxembourg Finance House). Other investors such as Bonsai and Arconas have also participated, as well as existing shareholders such as GP Bullhound and FJ Labs. With this backing, Playtomic strengthens its leadership and accelerates its international expansion.

The platform currently operates in 63 countries, with more than 6,000 affiliated clubs and 1.5 million monthly active players. Félix Ruiz said: ‘Our goal is to consolidate our position in international markets, especially in the United States, where padel is expanding rapidly. This funding will allow us to improve our technology and continue to expand our community, benefiting both players and clubs’.

In 2024, Playtomic has recorded significant growth, surpassing €240 million in revenues and achieving an annual expansion rate of 40%. Its development in the United States is particularly notable, with more than 50 clubs already integrated into the platform and a projection to reach 3,000 courts by 2026.

In addition to geographic expansion, the company will use part of the funds to improve its technology, including enhancements to Playtomic Manager, its club management software, and optimisations to its player application. Among the planned enhancements are upgrades to the point-of-sale (POS) system, new features for academies and tournaments, and solutions tailored to multi-facility clubs.

With these initiatives, Playtomic continues to establish itself as a leader in the padel and racquet sports industry, driving a more connected and efficient global community.
