Pinama Capital has announced its investment in Miramoon Pharma, a biotechnology startup led by Amalia Capilla, with the goal of slowing the progression of currently incurable degenerative diseases.
The company is focusing its first development on a rare eye condition that can lead to blindness within a few years, for which very few accessible treatment options exist. Pinama Capital’s investment is based on Miramoon Pharma’s clear mission: to buy time and improve the quality of life for thousands of patients.
“The combination of a clear purpose, a solid scientific foundation with academic and clinical backing, and a global vision with the potential to reach far more patients than current therapies convinced us completely,” said representatives from Pinama Capital.
The firm added that “investing in biotechnology is not easy, as it requires time, patience, and effort, but when the potential impact can change lives, it is worth supporting projects like Miramoon Pharma.”
