FoodieFame, the Spanish startup behind the launch of food brands in collaboration with well-known personalities, has closed a €800,000 Seed funding round that will enable the company to accelerate its expansion and strengthen its position as a key player in the sector. The round was co-led by N Ventures — which already supported the company in its Pre-Seed stage in 2023 — along with Pascual Innoventures and the investment fund Lukkap, a consultancy specialized in digital transformation. The round also received the backing of Travis Kalanick, founder of Uber.

The startup has developed a disruptive model that combines gastronomy, contemporary culture, and co-branding with influential figures from various fields.

In 2024, FoodieFame successfully launched three organized restaurant brands:

  • Flama, together with rapper Bnet, specializing in urban smash burgers.
  • Varbacoa, in partnership with sports journalist Julio “Maldini” Maldonado, focused on American cuisine.
  • Shawarmalekum, created with influencer Hamza Zaidi, offering authentic, high-quality kebabs.

In their first nine months, these brands have consolidated their market presence and generated over €500,000 in revenue. Looking ahead to 2025, FoodieFame plans to expand its portfolio with the launch of its first proprietary brands aimed at mass consumption. This strategic move will open up new business lines in retail and ready-to-eat products, with the goal of tripling its revenue over the next twelve months.

Jesús Muñoz, CEO and co-founder — with prior experience at companies such as Deliveroo and Burger King — emphasizes: “In just one year we’ve proven the potential of combining gastronomy with cultural icons to create brands with their own identity. This new funding round will allow us to scale our model, diversify our channels, and reach new audiences.”

FoodieFame’s management team is completed by Lorenzo Gómez-Counahan (COO), Beatriz Torres (CTO), and Javier Uribarri (SCH Director), professionals with experience at leading companies such as Avanza Food, Instapack, and El Corte Inglés.
