The Barcelona-based startup Opereit has closed a €2.2 million ($2.5 million) pre-seed funding round led by Seedcamp and Yellow, the venture capital fund backed by Glovo founders Oscar Pierre and Sacha Michaud. The round also included participation from Baobab Ventures, Kima Ventures, Enzo Ventures, OPRTRS Club, Masia, and investors such as Dídac Lee, founder of Galdana Ventures, among others.

The company has developed AI agents capable of detecting errors in transportation invoices, identifying lost or damaged shipments, filing claims with logistics operators, and automatically managing the recovery of outstanding amounts.

According to the company, businesses can lose up to 10% of their annual logistics spend due to overcharges, billing errors, and unclaimed credits—a problem that accounts for more than $1 trillion in losses globally every year.

Founded by Pablo Cousin, a former member of the founding team at Rever, Opereit was created to automate processes that have historically relied on complex and highly manual workflows. “Every month we saw the same problem: carriers overcharging, claims that were impossible to track, and money simply disappearing. The problem is not operational; it is structural,” said Cousin.

Among Opereit’s first customers are companies such as Amphora Logistics, Nude Project, and Ecoalf.

The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate product development, expand the team, and strengthen the company’s commercial expansion across the European market.
