ONEtoONE Corporate Finance has advised Miranza, Spain’s leading ophthalmology group, on the acquisition of Clínica Oftalmológica CIMO, recognised as a centre of excellence in ocular microsurgery and led by Dr Julián Cezón, who will continue to head the project.

Miranza, with more than 38 centres across Spain and Andorra —26 clinics and 12 satellite consultation centres— is the leading ophthalmology group in Southern Europe. Its model focuses on integrating top-tier independent clinics under one platform, combining clinical excellence, technological innovation, and personalised care. In Andalusia, the addition of CIMO brings the group’s footprint to seven centres in the region, including existing facilities in Cádiz, Jerez, Córdoba, Málaga, Algeciras, La Línea, and Seville (Miranza Clínica Virgen de Luján).

Clínica Oftalmológica CIMO, founded in 1996, has become a benchmark in advanced eye surgery, high-precision diagnostics, and tailored treatments for complex conditions. Its highly reputable medical team and state-of-the-art facilities have positioned it as a centre of reference for both national and international patients.

The acquisition of CIMO strengthens Miranza’s footprint in a strategic location like Seville and enhances its capacity to attract international patients in a region with high healthcare demand. The two Seville clinics are now working in coordination to maximise synergies in care delivery and operational efficiency.

According to Miranza’s CEO, Ramón Berra, “the integration of a clinic led by a highly renowned ophthalmologist such as Dr Julián Cezón is another important step in our growth strategy, adding valuable expertise that complements our other Seville facility, Miranza Virgen de Luján.” Dr Cezón added: “Joining Miranza represents a great opportunity for professional growth and for expanding patient access to innovative treatments. We share a common philosophy of medical excellence and personalised care.”

With this transaction, Miranza consolidates its national network of 38 centres and strengthens its international appeal, reinforcing its position in Andalusia, a key region in terms of patient volume. CIMO gains access to a solid structure, advanced resources, and a long-term vision, while preserving its medical identity.

The deal was led by Ricardo Fernández García and María José Martínez Gil from ONEtoONE Corporate FinanceSpain.
