ONEtoONE Asset Management completes its tenth investment, acquiring nearly 15% of Grupo Semilleros La Sala, S.L., one of the leading companies in the horticultural grafting market in Spain and Portugal.
Semilleros La Sala, S.L. is a company with over 30 years of experience, based in San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia). It specializes mainly in the cultivation of the early growth stages of fruit and vegetable plants through grafting, with the aim of improving their resistance to diseases and pathogens, thereby optimizing crop quality and yield. The group supplies the main producers, cooperatives, and distributors in the sector across Spain, Portugal, and France.
The company operates on a total surface area of 180,000 m², of which 106,600 m² are dedicated to greenhouse cultivation. It is considered a benchmark brand in its sector, recognized for the quality of its products. Spain is the leading producer of fruits and vegetables in Europe, with a 25% market share, representing 2% of the global market.
La Sala has a workforce of around 200 employees and facilities specifically designed for organic plant production. It is a market leader in grafting tomato, watermelon, and melon plants, among other crops.
The company expects to close the fiscal year with revenues exceeding €20 million and an EBITDA of €5 million. This marks ONEtoONE AM’s fourth investment in Spain and its first in the agri-industrial sector.
The company will be managed by Luis Pérez del Val and Miguel Ángel Antón, both of whom have extensive business experience. They will lead this new phase alongside José Jiménez, co-founder of La Sala, who will remain a shareholder in the company.
Juan Cuesta Diego, Managing Partner at ONEtoONE Asset Management, will join the company’s Board of Directors.
