Mouro Capital Leads Forage’s $40 Million Series B Funding Round to Expand Financial Affordability Access Across the United States

Mouro Capital has led Forage’s $40 million Series B funding round, supporting the company’s mission to build the infrastructure powering financial affordability for millions of American households.

The investment will enable Forage to further scale its platform and expand its network designed to address the needs of the more than 100 million Americans earning less than $50,000 per year, for whom affordability is a daily challenge. For many families, the end of each month brings difficult decisions about essential purchases, including groceries and household necessities.

Forage is building a comprehensive affordability network that serves consumers, businesses and public-sector stakeholders alike.

For families, the company offers a suite of products that expand financial access, including secure Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) balance checks and rewards programs linked to everyday purchases.

For business partners, Forage provides a revenue growth engine that helps retailers and platforms compete more effectively on affordability. The company’s infrastructure already supports more than 100,000 stores across all 50 U.S. states.

Christopher Gottschalk, General Partner at Mouro Capital, described the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) ecosystem as one of the largest payment ecosystems in the United States and, at the same time, one of the most underserved. He highlighted Forage’s ability to build infrastructure that simultaneously serves retailers, consumers and public-sector stakeholders, positioning the company to drive meaningful impact at scale.

Alongside Mouro Capital, the Series B round included participation from Nyca Partners, PayPal Ventures, Long Journey Ventures, Intuit Ventures, NextLadder Ventures, Pivotal Ventures and FJ Labs.

With this new funding, Forage plans to accelerate product development, strengthen its technology infrastructure and continue expanding its mission to make financial affordability more accessible for millions of American families while helping retailers and platforms better serve consumer needs
