The investment fund manager Magallanes Value Investors has announced its acquisition of a 3.24% stake in Ebro EV Motors, the company producing vehicles under the historic Ebro brand at the former Nissan plant in Barcelona’s Free Trade Zone. According to a statement released by Ebro EV Motors on Thursday, the shares were acquired from the founding partners, who proportionally facilitated the transaction with the strategic goal of bringing a leading institutional investor on board. Magallanes’ entry is considered a key milestone for Ebro and a vote of confidence in the company’s strategic plan. The timing coincides with a crucial operational moment, following the announcement of the company’s first quarter with positive EBITDA and notable progress in ramping up production capacity at the Barcelona Free Trade Zone plant.

Rafael Ruiz, President of Ebro EV Motors, said: "We are delighted to welcome Magallanes Value Investors. Having a manager of their prestige and discipline invest in Ebro at this stage of growth confirms that we are building a solid, transparent industrial project capable of generating significant returns."

Magallanes Value Investors is one of Europe’s leading independent asset managers focused on value investing. The firm manages over €3.6 billion in assets, backed by a strong investor base, and operates under a disciplined, long-term investment philosophy emphasizing capital preservation and value creation. With a widely recognized track record, Magallanes has consistently delivered strong long-term results, outperforming its benchmark indices and peers, and has received numerous national and international awards for both performance consistency and the rigor of its investment process.

Ebro EV Motors is committed to manufacturing clean-energy vehicles in Spain, leveraging the reindustrialized Nissan plant in Barcelona’s Zona Franca, now known as Ebro Factory, along with the Montcada i Reixac plant, focused on stamping and welding metal components.
