The Funds team of King & Wood Mallesons ("KWM") is advising Ysios Capital ("Ysios") on the launch of its third fund, Ysios BioFund III, with a committed amount of €155 million and a final target size of €200 million. The new investment vehicle will invest in biotechnological companies, mainly in Europe. The initial investment will range between €5 and 10 million up to a maximum of €20 million cumulative, but the fund may also invest in up to three seed rounds committing lower amounts.

Isabel Rodríguez, Partner and Head of the Funds team at KWM - Spain, has been in charge of the coordination of the advice to Ysios. Other key members of the team have been Partner Ildefonso Alier and Associate María Mata.

With this new fund, Ysios has expanded its investor base, attracting new national institutional investors, international family offices, and the European Investment Fund through The European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) with the support of the European Union under the Investment Plan for Europe.

KWM has previously advised Ysios on the structuring of its funds Ysios BioFund I and Ysios BioFund II.
