The Valencian Institute for Competitiveness and Innovation (Ivace+i), under the regional Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Trade, has launched a €7.5 million funding call to support innovative projects with tangible impact and measurable results in the industrial fabric of the Valencian Community

“From the Valencian government, we are committed to projects that create value for companies and boost their competitiveness and innovation,” said the Regional Minister for Industry, Marián Cano.

In this call, Ivace+i will focus on the development of new products and ICT solutions (Electronic, Information and Communication Technologies) with high impact, as well as on sustainable innovation projects aligned with circular economy principles and environmental responsibility.

The Innovation call includes the Product Innovation programme (INNOVAProd-CV) and the ICT Innovation projects programme (INNOVATEIC-CV), both 60% co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021–2027.

The aid intensity may reach up to 45% of eligible project costs for small enterprises and up to 35% for medium-sized companies.

Eligible actions

Through the Product Innovation programme, Ivace+i supports the development and manufacturing of new products, as well as significant improvements to those already produced by the applicant company, provided that the proposed novelty or improvement represents a relevant advancement for the company.

The expected outcome of the project should be the manufacturing of the product or the development of a prototype tested in a real environment.

The mere acquisition of equipment not linked to a new product development project will not be eligible.

Meanwhile, the ICT Innovation programme (INNOVATEIC-CV) funds the development of new applications, devices, or innovative solutions ready for commercialization to third parties.

The call covers certain consultancy or technical assistance costs, the registration of patents, trademarks, utility models, and industrial designs, as well as the acquisition of licenses and tangible assets. It also includes software required for the development of new products and personnel costs for technical staff involved in the projects.

The deadline for submitting applications will remain open until 5 May.
