JG Ingenieros and Incosa, whose majority shareholder is Waterland Private Equity, have reached an agreement to combine their capabilities and create one of Spain’s leading engineering groups, with an enhanced value proposition in strategic sectors such as energy, complex building projects, infrastructure, environmental services, and specialized technical consulting.
The transaction brings together two companies with strong track records, highly complementary businesses, and a shared culture centered on client proximity, technical excellence, and innovation. Together, the two firms represent 95 years of combined experience—55 years from JG Ingenieros and 40 years from Incosa—amounting to nearly a century of expertise serving clients. The new group will also comprise more than 800 professionals, significantly strengthening its capacity to undertake larger-scale, more complex, and higher-value projects both in Spain and internationally.
The integration will enable the group to provide clients with a more comprehensive offering throughout the entire project lifecycle, from strategic consulting, conceptual and detailed engineering, technical supervision, and construction management, to operations and maintenance, sustainability, digitalization, and energy optimization of assets.
This new chapter begins with the ambition of establishing a leading engineering group capable of supporting public and private clients in strategic, complex, and multidisciplinary projects. The group will further strengthen its position in the energy and energy transition sectors, as well as in high-complexity building projects—areas where demand for technical expertise, efficiency, sustainability, and digitalization continues to grow. The transaction also represents a significant opportunity for the professional development of employees across both organizations, bringing together talent, specialized knowledge, and sector expertise within a shared growth platform.
Through this combination, JG Ingenieros and Incosa reaffirm their commitment to engineering that creates value, enhances clients’ competitiveness, and contributes to the development of more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready infrastructure, buildings, and energy solutions.
