CDTI Innovación, the promoter and sole shareholder of the company Innvierte, closed seven co-investment transactions in May—one of them strategic—for a total amount of €5,236,000, specifically:
Additionally, under the strategic companies line, CDTI Innovación has committed €904,000 to PAYLOAD AEROSPACE, S.L., which develops launch technologies for small satellites.
Since January 2025, CDTI Innovación, through Innvierte, has closed co-investment transactions in 31 companies with a total commitment of €62.44 million and has committed investments in four investment vehicles totaling €283.5 million.
Innvierte is an initiative aimed at promoting business innovation by supporting venture capital investments in technology-based or innovative companies. This program is implemented through the closed-end collective investment company Innvierte Economía Sostenible SICC S.M.E., S.A., which is self-managed and supervised by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), and of which CDTI Innovación is the sole shareholder.
To date, CDTI Innovación has committed €2.183 billion across 57 investment vehicles that have invested in over 602 companies. Through its co-investment line, it has directly committed €632 million in 188 companies.
Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021–2027, approved by the Council of Ministers in September 2020. This Strategy outlines the objectives, reforms, and measures to be adopted in the field of R&D&I to promote its growth and impact. It is one of the cornerstones of the government’s R&D&I policy in the coming years.
CDTI Innovación
The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI E.P.E.) is the innovation agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. Its goal is to promote technological innovation in the business sector. CDTI’s mission is to ensure that Spanish companies generate and transform scientific and technical knowledge into globally competitive, sustainable, and inclusive growth. In 2024, as part of a new strategic plan, CDTI provided over €2.3 billion in support to Spanish companies and startups.
