Impact Bridge, a Spanish asset manager specialized in impact investing, has formalized a €2 million investment in Fundación Secretariado Gitano (FSG), a leading organization in Spain and Europe that works for the progress of the Roma people from an intercultural perspective. The foundation focuses on social promotion, the defense of rights, and the recognition of a community facing persistent structural barriers in education, employment, housing, and equal treatment.

FSG runs over 700 programs reaching nearly 140,000 participants, including more than 38,000 through individualized pathways, across more than 80 locations in Spain. These programs combine professional training, family support, job placement, access to housing, and promotion of equality, offering comprehensive solutions designed to transform opportunities and living conditions. Among its most recognized initiatives is Acceder, one of Europe’s largest Roma socio-labor inclusion programs, which in 2024 supported over 20,000 people. The foundation also leads awareness and rights advocacy projects, such as Igual Trato, which assisted more than 1,000 victims of antigypsyism.

Impact Bridge and FSG share a vision of generating tangible and sustainable social impact. While Impact Bridge mobilizes capital toward projects that combine financial return with measurable impact, FSG has been promoting equal opportunities for the Roma community for decades. The partnership allows them to pool resources and expertise to maximize the reach and effectiveness of social and labor inclusion programs.

Maria Samoilova, head of the IB Deuda Impacto España fund and Managing Partner at Impact Bridge, said: “Collaboration with Fundación Secretariado Gitano strengthens and ensures continuity for established social inclusion programs. We share the vision of creating real opportunities in education, employment, and housing for a historically discriminated community. This investment reinforces the foundation’s sustainability and helps its projects scale in a consistent and measurable way.”

Sara Giménez, CEO of FSG, added: “Our work with Roma people, delivered in a personalized and results-oriented manner in key areas such as education and employment, changes lives and generates significant social impact. The partnership with Impact Bridge strengthens our capabilities and enables us to reach more people in a sustainable way.”

This transaction adds to other flagship investments of the IB Deuda Impacto España fund, such as tuTECHÔ, ILUNION (Grupo Social ONCE), Talento y Experiencia, and Formació i Treball, all focused on generating tangible social impact in Spain. Lesayra acted as legal advisor for the transaction.
