The company will concentrate the bulk of its activity in the county of Segarra to increase its productivity by between 30% and 40%, with the aim of driving its growth and sales over the coming years. ICF Eurocrèdit loans, such as the one received by this company specialising in industrial packaging, offer advantageous terms for Catalan SMEs thanks to European Union co-financing.
The Catalan Institute of Finance (ICF) has provided the Catalan company CADEPA with a €1.5 million ICF Eurocrèdit loan to support the construction of its new facilities in Sant Guim de Freixenet, in the Segarra region.
With this investment, the company, which specializes in the design and manufacture of custom industrial packaging, will consolidate most of its production, technical, and commercial activities into a single headquarters. Until now, these activities have been carried out separately at its facilities in Esparreguera (Baix Llobregat) and Logroño, where part of its operations will continue.
As a result, CADEPA will move from operating 7,000 m² spread across two different locations to concentrating its inventory, workforce, and manufacturing processes in a single 12,000 m² plant. Construction of the new facility will be carried out in two phases.
The new facilities will not only provide CADEPA with an additional 5,000 m² of space compared to its current footprint, but will also offer a more modern environment specifically designed to meet the company’s operational needs.
Overall, the project will help improve the company’s effectiveness, efficiency, and competitiveness by addressing the challenges associated with operating from two separate sites. CADEPA expects this reorganization to increase productivity by between 30% and 40%, supporting sales growth over the coming years. In addition, the company plans to create 30 new jobs.
The financing from the Catalan Government’s public development bank is being provided through an ICF Eurocrèdit loan, which offers favorable conditions for Catalan SMEs seeking to invest, enter new markets, and develop innovative projects. The program is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
With more than 30 years of experience, CADEPA develops customized industrial packaging solutions using 3D technology for sectors including automotive, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronics, food, and art.
