HolaCamp, a company specializing in the management and tour operation of campsites, continues its growth trajectory and has announced this week a €10 million capital injection from AMAVI. AMAVI is a leading investor in European companies driving innovation and digital transformation in the global real asset industry. With this investment, AMAVI will acquire a minority stake in HolaCamp, while the founding partners will retain control with a significant majority.
Thanks to this operation, HolaCamp will continue to execute its expansion strategy, integrating new campsites into its network. Additionally, this investment will reinforce its position as the leading independent camping management company in Spain and Portugal.
“2024 was a key year for us. In just one full year of operations, we have added 11 campsites plus one under tour operation, which will allow us to achieve a turnover of €30 million in 2025,” says Alfonso Leprevost, CEO of HolaCamp, who welcomes this agreement and the opportunities it creates for the company’s future growth.
Looking ahead to 2025, HolaCamp plans to add at least 5 more campsites in Spain and Portugal, continuing its expansion plan while exploring new opportunities in other European markets, further strengthening its international presence in the coming years. In terms of staffing, the company is set to employ 450 people in 2025, with 50 professionals based in its new headquarters in Barcelona and over 400 employees working directly in the campsites under its management.
HolaCamp: A Digitalization Leader in the Camping Sector
AMAVI’s investment in HolaCamp marks its first in Spain, highlighting the strong potential of the company and the broader outdoor hospitality sector. This investment aligns perfectly with AMAVI’s strategy at the intersection of Real Estate, Technology, and Private Equity. AMAVI sees a timely opportunity to expand its Real Estate Operating Platform (REOP) strategy, leveraging technology to build and scale market-leading operators in fragmented niche real estate sectors, in an asset-light way. HolaCamp exemplifies this approach, showcasing how tech-enabled operators can transform niche asset classes into institutional-grade platforms.
“HolaCamp's business model is pioneering in the camping industry, with a strong and sustained commitment to technology. By digitizing processes that enhance customer service and developing proprietary software for real-time business management and control, the company is redefining the sector,” states Arne Allewaert, Managing Partner of AMAVI Capital. He also highlights the company’s use of Artificial Intelligence, applying machine learning algorithms to dynamically adjust accommodation pricing, driving revenues significantly.
“In this first year, we have fully embraced digital growth by recruiting top-tier professionals in these areas. Having the support of AMAVI Capital will allow us to remain ambitious in our mission to lead the digital revolution in the camping sector in Spain,” concludes Héctor Fina, Executive Director and Co-founder of HolaCamp.
