The Biscayan company H2SITE is advancing its international growth strategy by strengthening its subsidiary in Norway and developing a new project focused on hydrogen production for the maritime sector.
H2SITE, specialized in technologies for converting ammonia and other carriers into high-purity hydrogen, consolidates its presence in a key market for decarbonizing maritime transport through this milestone in international expansion.
From its plant in Bizkaia, H2SITE has developed solutions aimed at facilitating the use of hydrogen in industrial and heavy mobility applications.
International Expansion Strategy
The project, to be carried out in Bergen, Norway, will allow for the validation of onboard hydrogen production systems for ships, in collaboration with local actors in the port and maritime sector. This initiative is part of the strong push the Nordic country is giving to technologies linked to the energy transition and emission reduction in maritime transport.
H2SITE’s international expansion reflects the evolution of a technology company born in Bizkaia that, after completing its initial development phases, is moving forward with the execution of projects in international markets.
Thus, with this new step in Norway, H2SITE strengthens its positioning in the hydrogen sector and continues expanding its activities in strategic markets for the deployment of sustainable energy solutions.
