GVC Gaesco Alternative Investments, the alternative investment arm of the GVC Gaesco group, has launched Resilient Infratech Ventures FCRE, SA (RIF), a €70 million fund focused on startups and scale-ups developing the physical and digital infrastructure of the new economy. The fund has received official approval from the CNMV and aims to fill a market gap, as many capital-intensive technology companies do not fit traditional venture capital or conventional infrastructure financing.

RIF will focus on technologies applied to energy, industry, and digital infrastructure, three increasingly interconnected areas in Europe. Targeted opportunities include energy storage, grids, industrial electrification, automation, resource efficiency, data infrastructure, and other technologies critical to European competitiveness. The fund will invest primarily in Europe, with particular emphasis on Spain, Italy, France, and Portugal.

Davide Cannarozzi, Managing Partner of RIF, emphasizes: “We have been building this expertise for almost twenty years, first as founders and managers of technology companies, and later as investors. F4E – Financing for Equity comes directly from this hands-on experience: understanding that capital-intensive companies cannot scale with traditional equity alone and need a much smarter financial architecture to reach their full potential.”

Paco Illueca, Managing Director of GVC Gaesco Alternative Investments, adds: “Through our client network and investor relationships, we see growing demand for alternative strategies linked to the real economy, technological innovation, and private markets. In a context where diversifying portfolios beyond traditional assets is increasingly important, we believe hardware and digital infrastructure technologies represent one of the most attractive opportunities for sophisticated investors in the coming years.”
