Grant Thornton has advised on the sale of the Álava-based company Chapanor to EPER Metallic Solutions, a Navarre-based group specialized in high value-added metal solutions. This transaction marks the fourth acquisition completed by EPER since the entry of the Stellum Growth fund and the Amixalan Group into its shareholding structure in 2023, as part of an ambitious industrial expansion strategy.
The Firm acted as exclusive advisor to the sellers in the transaction.
The M&A and transactions team at Grant Thornton—comprising Ana Novoa (Director), Abel Ortiz De Zárate, Rubén Polo Sánchez, and Manuel López Arias—was led by Partner Jorge Tarancón.
Through this deal, EPER strengthens its position in the railway sector and incorporates new technical and production capabilities.
Chapanor, headquartered in Vitoria-Gasteiz, is a family-owned company with more than 25 years of experience in metal fabrication and boiler-making. It is a national benchmark in the manufacturing of high-precision metal components, particularly for the railway sector, and also has a presence in other industries such as automotive, aerospace, food, and industrial equipment.
Chapanor’s integration will be carried out while maintaining its current management model, leveraging its workforce, and promoting operational synergies with the rest of the EPER group.
