Flinket Platform, a Spanish fintech specializing in Open Insurance and Wealthtech, has closed a €1.4 million funding round. The transaction represents a key milestone in the company’s development, as it is building the technological infrastructure that enables banks and insurers to launch insurance-based savings and investment products in a fully digital manner with immediate execution.

The round was backed by Gerard Olivé and Miquel Vicente, founders of Antai Venture Builder; EBISU Digital VC; Eduardo Ramírez, former partner at Cuatrecasas; as well as other professionals from the financial and legal sectors. In addition, MGC Mutua joins the company as a strategic partner.

Flinket has developed a modular, open, and interoperable architecture that allows banks, insurers, and financial institutions to design and distribute insurance-based investment products in a 100% digital format, with full integration and complete regulatory compliance. The company is committed to natively digital solutions that are simpler, more efficient, and customer-centric.

According to Gabriela Orille, CEO of Flinket, “we are at the perfect moment for the insurance sector to create new business models. Customers are demanding solutions that go beyond price, that understand their needs, and that are delivered in a digital, simple, and value-added way. This funding round allows us to consolidate a platform designed to improve the digital experience, optimize product distribution, and drive profitable growth for financial institutions.”

Orille adds that “we talk a great deal about financial education, but it requires new instruments to plan for the future that are aligned with 21st-century standards. There is an unprecedented generational transfer of wealth, and at Flinket we want to help institutions evolve by retaining and attracting new clients.”

Gabriela Orille is a recognized pioneer in the Spanish fintech ecosystem and has appeared over the years in various national and international rankings. In 2018, she was included in the Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain ranking compiled by Mujeres&Cía. That same year, she was featured on Buzzsumo’s list of the world’s top 100 fintech influencers. In 2021, she was also named to Forbes’ list of the 100 most creative Spaniards in the business world.

Her professional achievements include her involvement in the launch of MyInvestor, her support for startups across a wide range of sectors (Gastrocult, Hannun, Onyze, Nomade Vans, Ubicuity, MyGolf…), and her executive roles in companies such as Denarius, where she chairs the Technology and Innovation Committee.

Meanwhile, Joan Mir, President and Co-Founder of Flinket, notes that “true disruption is not about digitizing processes, but about redesigning products from the ground up. Flinket was born in a 100% digital environment to enable the financial and insurance sectors to design natively digital investment products that are simple, agile, immediate, and efficient, without sacrificing profitability or tax efficiency.”

From MGC Mutua, Xavier Plana highlights that “we are driving this transaction because we firmly believe in technology as a transformation engine. With Flinket, we are investing in digital solutions that simplify our clients’ lives, streamline management, and enhance the quality of advisory services.”
