The Madrid Region held the 10th meeting of the Madrid Open Innovation Group – MOIG, an initiative launched in 2022 and coordinated by the General Directorate of Research and Technological Innovation. MOIG serves as a meeting point for corporations with open innovation programs in the region. Its goal is to promote collaboration within the ecosystem and consolidate the Community of Madrid as a hub for entrepreneurship and technological innovation.

Opportunities for Collaboration in Innovation

A total of fifty highly innovative and high-growth potential startups presented their proposals to 28 corporations in sectors such as Energy, Transportation and Circular Economy, Aerospace, Health, Agri-food, ICT, Digital Transformation, and Security. The event was organized in collaboration with the madri+d Foundation.

During the event, Vicente Parras, Deputy Director of Technological Innovation of the Community of Madrid, introduced the support programs available for startups, SMEs, and other entities from the regional government. For startups, these include the Aid for the Development of Young Innovative Technology-Based Companies (lines 1 and 2), Seal of Excellence, Tractor Projects (in consortium), and Industrial PhDs. Other programs available through the madri+d Foundation include ESA BIC Comunidad de Madrid, Deeptech Madrid, and Healthstart, as well as access to networks of mentors and investors and the Startup Radar madri+d ecosystem platform.
