EPER, a Navarre-based group specialised in the manufacturing of metal structures and boiler solutions for the onshore and offshore wind, defence, naval and civil engineering sectors, has acquired 100% of the Galician company Talleres Mecánicos Codesal, which is dedicated to light boilerwork and precision machining for the naval and defence industries.
This is EPER’s third operation in Galicia, following the acquisitions of TMG and Insder in July 2024. It is part of its Strategic Plan for organic and inorganic growth, which was boosted by the entry of Stellum Growth and the Navarre-based company Amixalan into its shareholding in 2023.
With this integration, the group will have four industrial sites, nearly 200 professionals on staff, and consolidated revenue of around 32 million euros. Across its facilities — 18,000 square metres of production plants and another 25,000 square metres of logistics area — the company works with international clients such as Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, GE, Nordex, Windar, Navantia, Urovesa, Liebherr, and Atlas Copco, among others.
Headquartered in Cabanas (A Coruña), Codesal has more than 40 years of experience in the manufacture of metal components with high technical requirements, making it a strategic supplier for sectors such as naval and defence. Its specialisation in the design and production of watertight structural closures positions it as a benchmark in customised solutions for complex industrial environments, with a strong commitment to quality, tailored engineering, and traceability throughout all its processes.
Borja Aroca, CEO of EPER, stated that “the acquisition of Codesal is a very important step in our industrial strategy. It is a company with extremely high specialisation, an exceptional technical team and a well-established reputation in highly demanding sectors. This operation allows us to expand our technical capabilities and continue growing with a sustainable, long-term vision.” He also added that “this integration strengthens our expertise in a specific range of high-value products and will enable us to enhance, digitalise and integrate its processes to provide an even better service to our clients.”
Meanwhile, Raúl Amado, Managing Director of Codesal, said that “joining the EPER Group opens up new opportunities for industrial development and access to larger-scale projects. We remain fully committed to excellence, innovation and close relationships with our clients, now backed by a group with vision, strength and ambition. I am very excited to continue leading this new stage.”
Talleres Mecánicos Codesal was advised in the transaction by Grupo Delega and Garrigues. Rocío Cruces Torres handled the legal advice for the buyer, and Ernst & Young conducted the Due Diligence.
