Enisa and CaixaBank have held the national final of the 19th edition of the EmprendeXXI Awards, further consolidating these awards as one of the leading benchmarks of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain and Portugal. The ceremony, held on May 27, 2026, in Barcelona, recognized the startups with the greatest potential to address the major challenges of the future.
This year’s awards—jointly organized by Spain’s Ministry of Industry and Tourism through Enisa and CaixaBank through DayOne—focused on innovative solutions that improve people’s lives and promote sustainability. A total of eight awards were presented under the “Challenges of Tomorrow” categories, alongside two special cross-sector awards and a recognition for entrepreneurial achievement.
The winning companies in the main categories stood out for their innovative approaches in fields such as healthcare, digital transformation, and the ecological transition.

These projects span three major thematic areas—Business Transformation, Human & Wellbeing, and Living Planet—demonstrating the diversity and transformative potential of today’s technology-driven entrepreneurship.
In addition to the main awards, the jury granted two special distinctions:
Meanwhile, the Alumni Achievement Award was presented to Idoven, the e-health startup recognized for its growth and international impact in the field of AI-powered arrhythmia diagnosis.
Each of the eight category winners received a cash prize of €15,000, while the recipients of the special awards received €9,000 each.
Beyond the financial awards, winners gain access to international acceleration and mentoring programs, including the Moonshot Thinking for Entrepreneurs initiative in Berlin, developed in partnership with ESADE and ICEX.
In addition, all winning companies receive direct approval of the Innovation Assessment required for the Spanish Government’s Emerging Companies Certification, awarded by Enisa.
Since its launch in 2007, the EmprendeXXI Awards have supported more than 560 companies through nearly €10 million in prize money and acceleration programs, establishing themselves as a key platform for fostering innovative startups across the Iberian Peninsula.
With this 19th edition, Enisa and CaixaBank DayOne reaffirm their commitment to entrepreneurial talent and to projects capable of delivering real solutions to future economic, social, and environmental challenges.
The recognition granted to this year’s winners highlights the dynamism of an increasingly mature entrepreneurial ecosystem—one capable of generating practical solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.
