OVIANTA, the startup that is revolutionising the experience of doctors in consultation with artificial intelligence, has closed a pre-seed round of €540,000. The venture capital funds First Drop VC, Itnig and Encomenda have participated in the deal. With this investment, the company will be able to strengthen its team and advance in the development of its technology.

Despite advances in medical equipment and treatments, the software that doctors use on a daily basis has lagged behind. OVIANTA addresses this challenge by integrating artificial intelligence to structure and organise clinical information, easing the administrative burden and allowing doctors to focus on their care.

‘Doctors have to interpret a large amount of information and make quick decisions with often unstructured data. If we can make their job easier, even just a little bit, we know the impact will be huge,’ says Alejandro, co-founder of OVIANTA.

Unlike other solutions, OVIANTA assists the doctor at all stages of the consultation: pre-consultation, consultation and post-consultation. Its technology is not intended to replace management software or hospital information systems, but rather to complement them with advanced tools that optimise workflow.

It should be noted that OVIANTA does not intervene in diagnosis or treatment decisions. Its technology acts as a support for the doctor, but the last word always rests with the healthcare professional.

Founded in 2024 and based in Barcelona, OVIANTA is led by Alejandro (co-founder and CEO) and Rubén (co-founder and CTO). Alejandro, a pharmacist and MBA from IESE, has more than 10 years of experience in the health sector and the pharmaceutical industry, playing roles in go-to-market and strategic consulting. Rubén, with 20 years of experience in the technology sector, has worked on projects both nationally and internationally, his last position being that of CTO at Playtomic.

‘The opportunities in the health sector are enormous. Big language models allow us to work with unstructured data and this is going to be key to help doctors make decisions with better information,’ says Rubén.

The company is currently focused on strengthening its technology in the private sector, carrying out tests in private clinics and hospitals. Its founders explain: ‘This round is just a means to move forward with more strength. Now it's time to keep pushing forward to make OVIANTA the essential tool in the doctor's office’.
