Spanish startup Dedge Security has closed a €4 million seed funding round, led by the Tritemius fund, to consolidate its position as the go-to security platform for developers and enterprises building on Web3. The deal brings together a diverse group of investors who share a common vision: the urgent need to build a robust cybersecurity infrastructure for decentralised systems.
‘We are building a differentiated technology and a world-class team to solve one of the most complex challenges in the Web3 ecosystem. This investment gives us the momentum we need to accelerate that path,’ explains Rubén Jiménez, co-founder and CEO of Dedge Security.
Since its inception, Dedge has been committed to a holistic view of Web3 security. Its ASPM (Application Security Posture Management) platform for decentralised environments protects from code to node, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and providing real-time visibility of risks throughout the lifecycle of decentralised applications.
‘We want to be the security partner of choice for developers, enterprises and institutions that are committed to Web3. This round brings us even closer to that goal,’ adds Jiménez.
The founding team, formed by Rubén Jiménez and Paco Moral, has a long history in the sector: both were part of the founding and leadership team of Randed, a cybersecurity company acquired by Netskope. Today, at Dedge, they lead a team of software, security and business development experts who are building the next generation of digital defence for the decentralised economy.
Luis Pastor, CEO and co-founder of Tritemius says: ‘Cybersecurity is critical for the development and mass adoption of Web3, a sector that is still defining its maturity standards. At Tritemius, we bet on Dedge because its team, with proven and deep experience in security, is perfectly positioned to address these challenges and become a benchmark.’
Secure decentralised environments
Dedge's mission is to empower organisations to build and scale on Web3 with confidence, through intelligent, continuous protection tailored to the logic of decentralised development. In an environment without intermediaries, where trust relies on code and architecture, cybersecurity becomes an essential requirement.
Dedge's value proposition is underpinned by:
- Continuous code security, built into CI/CD pipelines to reduce reliance on manual audits.
- Security intelligence for Web3, with models trained on decentralised ecosystems to protect dApps, smart contracts and blockchain infrastructure.
- Complete visibility from code to chain, with real-time critical risk intelligence.
- Automated prioritisation and remediation, with accuracy and efficiency.
What sets Dedge apart is its ‘code-to-node’ approach: it not only protects what is already deployed, but accompanies and protects the entire evolution of Web3 applications from development to on-chain execution.
‘The adoption of Web3 by enterprises and institutions depends directly on trust in its security. At Dedge we work to make that trust tangible. With this round, we reinforce our commitment and ability to grow globally,’ said the founding team.
