Deale, Europe's first independent digital M&A platform dedicated to SMEs, closed the first half of 2026 having facilitated 18 transactions with a combined deal value exceeding €52 million. The company has therefore recorded the strongest first-half performance in its history, further strengthening its position as a leading origination and execution platform in Spain's lower mid-market.
Deale maintained a high level of activity throughout the first six months of the year. March was one of the platform's strongest-performing months, driven by continued progress across active mandates and the completion of five transactions. The platform operates in a market where many business sales are driven by succession challenges, making deal activity less dependent on the economic cycle and giving the lower mid-market a more defensive profile.
Beyond transaction volume, the first half of the year highlighted two increasingly visible trends across the platform: the growing number of repeat buyers and the continued diversification of deal flow across sectors.
One private investor, for example, has already completed five acquisitions through Deale in 2026 across software, education and business services, demonstrating how the platform is becoming an established origination channel for active acquirers.
Similarly, Plastindustrial Group—a plastics injection holding company created following the acquisition of a business through Deale in 2023—completed its first add-on acquisition this year through the purchase of Splastic, illustrating how the platform also supports long-term buy-and-build strategies.
Alongside these transactions, Deale continued to facilitate acquisitions across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, technology, education, healthcare and business services.

Spanish Lower Mid-Market M&A
According to data published in Spain's Official Commercial Registry Gazette (BORME) and compiled by Deale, Spain recorded a total of 520 M&A transactions during the first half of 2026, representing a 24% decrease compared with the 687 transactions completed during the same period in 2025.
From a geographical perspective, Madrid (141 transactions), Barcelona (110) and the Valencian Community (28) accounted for the highest levels of activity within Spain's middle-market segment. Sector-wise, wholesale and retail trade, professional, scientific and technical services, and manufacturing remained among the most active industries for corporate transactions.
Platform Developments: Data Room and Deale Credit
During the first half of the year, Deale continued to expand its technology platform with new features designed to improve collaboration between transaction participants and enhance document management throughout the deal process.
Among the most significant additions is the launch of a fully integrated Data Room, enabling users to centralise corporate documentation, manage permissions with greater precision and streamline collaboration between internal teams and external advisers.
The company has also broadened its offering with the launch of Deale Credit, the first fully integrated LBO financing solution embedded within a digital business acquisition platform in Spain. The solution allows buyers to finance up to 30% of the acquisition price, addressing the growing demand for more flexible acquisition financing structures.
New Headquarters
This expansion has been accompanied by the opening of Deale's new headquarters in Barcelona, marking the company's next phase of growth.
Located at Avinguda Diagonal 401, the new offices nearly double the company's operational footprint to 453 square metres, providing the capacity required to support the continued expansion of both the team and the business.
According to Gerard García, Founder and CEO of Deale: "The Spanish lower mid-market is establishing itself as one of the most dynamic segments of the country's M&A market, driven by demographic succession, increasing buyer demand and the continued professionalisation of transactions. At Deale, we are helping make these processes faster, more structured and more transparent by improving access to information and reducing friction, enabling more transactions to be completed within competitive timeframes."
