Cuatrecasas has advised Mohari Hospitality, a global investor focused on the ownership and long-term development of luxury hospitality assets, on the separation process and distribution of the assets corresponding to Centro Canalejas Madrid—its joint venture with OHLA—and on the full acquisition of the Four Seasons Hotel, the premises occupied by Hermès, and an associated underground parking lot.

Exclusive ownership of the Four Seasons Madrid has given Mohari Hospitality strategic oversight of an asset that has become a central element of Madrid’s identity. Opened in 2020 as the first establishment of the Four Seasons chain in Spain, the hotel has become a benchmark for luxury hospitality in the city and an essential part of its international appeal.

In line with its operational strategy, the transaction reflects Mohari Hospitality's long-term confidence in Madrid as a leading European luxury destination, as well as a renewed commitment to the asset and the city.

International dimension

Founded in 2017 by Mark Scheinberg, Mohari Hospitality's portfolio includes top-tier assets: the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid; a group of luxury assets on the Papagayo Peninsula (Costa Rica), including the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica and the Andaz Costa Rica Resort; and the Bauer Hotel in Venice. The company is also developing new projects in Paris and Miami and owns a large-scale residential and tourism development in Lake Tahoe. In addition, it owns Tao Group Hospitality and Hakkasan Group, and has a stake in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

The Cuatrecasas advisory team was made up of lawyers Sergio Agüera and Marco Antonio Sanz (Corporate); Héctor Bros (Finance); Julio Brasa (Town Planning); and Javier Rodríguez (Tax).
