Cuatrecasas has advised Bestinver—asset manager owned by Acciona—on acquiring a 57 MW solar photovoltaic portfolio in Spain, from an international asset manager. The transaction includes a project finance debt agreement with Abanca and Crédit Agricole.
The portfolio has been operating for 10 years and is under the Spanish government’s specific remuneration scheme (RECORE) for 30 years, with income mainly including regulated payments and some commercial revenue.
The Cuatrecasas advisory team was led by José Luis Rodríguez (M&A and Infrastructure and Energy), with the support of lawyers Ana Laso and Sofia Lluch. Félix Plasencia, Ignacio Giner and Elena Ybancos (Public Law) also participated with Carlos Lasarte and Adrián García (Finance).
