Crescenta, Spain's first digital private equity investment manager, is launching Crescenta Silver, a meeting point for investors who want to buy or sell stakes in Crescenta's private equity funds.

The space, which will only be available to existing Crescenta investors, will allow them to obtain liquidity by selling their commitment in part or in full, while other investors will be able to access or expand their investments by acquiring that stake.

Until now, this type of solution has been reserved for institutional and professional investors, who could benefit from these operations. Crescenta's commitment is to extend the same possibility also to retail investors entering the private equity market and provide them not only with access, but also with the flexibility to deal with potential unforeseen events.

‘This is revolutionary in the industry and strengthens our commitment that a retail investor can invest in assets of the same quality and with the same conditions as professional and high net worth investors,’ explains Eduardo Navarro, Chairman of Crescenta.

Investors wishing to sell their units may only do so if they are in a situation of financial stress requiring liquidity, such as the death of the unit-holder, a declaration of total permanent incapacity for work or severe disability, or unemployment, among others.

In the case of purchasers, only investors in one of Crescenta's funds will be able to access the available units, and they will be able to invest in funds in which they did not previously hold positions or increase their holdings in those in which they were already invested. In any case, the resulting participation may not exceed the maximum amount that the investor can invest in private equity. For example, in the case of a retail investor with assets of less than EUR 500,000, their total private equity investment may not exceed 10% of their assets.

The price of the transaction shall be determined by the parties. Crescenta will make available to the parties, for information purposes, the latest published net asset value of the units that the investor is putting up for sale.

In the words of Ramiro Iglesias, CEO of Crescenta: ‘In our aim to democratise retail investor access to private markets, we believe that it is not enough to facilitate their entry, but that it is also essential to be able to offer them solutions that provide confidence and flexibility throughout the investment cycle. We want retail investors to have the peace of mind of knowing that, if they face a situation of financial stress or a one-off liquidity need, they will have mechanisms in place to sell their position in an orderly and transparent manner.
