Colliers, a global leader in real estate services and investment management, has acted as advisor to CVC DIF in the acquisition of 100% of Adam Ecotech, a leading data centre operator in Spain. This transaction represents CVC DIF’s inaugural venture into the European data centre market.
CVC DIF is the infrastructure division of private equity firm CVC Capital Partners. This acquisition aims to accelerate the growth of Adam Ecotech within the Iberian Peninsula and into broader European markets.
Adam Ecotech operates three active data centres located in Barcelona, Parc del Alba (Cerdanyola del Vallés), and Madrid, spanning a total surface area of 6,900 square metres and a combined capacity of 7 MW. Additionally, the company is developing a second project in Parc del Alba, the primary data centre hub within the Barcelona metropolitan area. In the initial phase with CVC DIF’s backing, Adam Ecotech plans to expand its platform in existing locations while also exploring potential new sites.

According to the Data Center Snapshot report published in October 2024 by Colliers, which analyses the latest trends in this fast-evolving market with a focus on key locations across the Iberian Peninsula, the Spanish data centre market continues its extraordinary growth path. The report forecasts that newly initiated projects will add 249 MW IT capacity by 2026.
