COFIDES supports the IT security services company Disruptive Consulting with its launch in Italy.
COFIDES will provide a co-investment loan for the amount of 1 million Euros financed under FONPYME for the construction of a computer services centre specialising in cybersecurity and a data centre. The total investment that the company will make in this project is 6.5 million Euros.
In 2020, this sector has been positively affected as a result of the pandemic, as restrictions have forced a rapid restructuring of the operating models of companies, adopting remote working and cloud technology, which require greater security. For the company, this project is highly strategic, as it can establish them as a unique provider of managed security services, cyber intelligence and SASE networks in Italy. The country is a very interesting market for the cybersecurity sector with great growth potential.
José Luis Curbelo, Chairman of COFIDES, indicated that "Spanish companies that demonstrate a high degree of innovation and technology are highly competitive abroad. We hope that this project will help this SME to continue with its international growth, by offering innovative solutions that also facilitate the development of the business sector".
José Angel Delgado, CEO of Disrupting Consulting, stated that "the support of COFIDES is essential for us in the launch of the company in international markets". He added that "before the challenges posed by information security in the digital transformation in which we are immersed, it is important to be able to offer innovative national services beyond our borders".

This project contributes particularly to the achievement of Sustainable Development Objective (SDG) 9, for Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, as it facilitates innovation in secure communication to improve processes with special attention to the service sector. It also contributes to SDG 8, for Decent Work and Economic Growth; and SDG 5, for Gender Equality.
