The SICC Innvierte of CDTI Innovación invests, together with BeAble Innvierte Kets Fund, F.C.R., in Captoplastic for the development of advanced solutions for the detection and removal of microplastics in wastewater.

Captoplastic is an innovative technology company dedicated to leading the fight against microplastics through cutting-edge solutions. Founded in 2020, it is recognized as a Knowledge-Based Company (EBC) and has prestigious partners such as the Autonomous University of Madrid. Its innovative technology is designed to control and capture microplastics and combat their polluting effects in aqueous environments, promoting sustainability and environmental protection.

With this solution, based on resource reuse to minimize waste, Captoplastic not only directly contributes to the conservation of oceans, seas and marine resources, but also promotes public health and well-being by improving water quality, ensuring universal access to drinking water and adequate sanitation. In addition, it has indirect impacts on the protection of biodiversity and the reduction of environmental degradation by preventing the contamination of terrestrial ecosystems through water and sludge from treatment plants.

The technology developed by Captoplastic has applications in multiple sectors including, among others, water bottling plants, the plastics industry, textile dyeing, recycling plants, removal of textile fibers in water, and the personal care industry.

This company has a multidisciplinary team made up of PhDs, engineers, technicians and financial experts. It has received several awards and recognitions, and its activity is backed by ten patents.

CDTI Innovación, through Innvierte, has just closed an investment deal in this company with BEABLE INNVIERTE KETS FUND, F.C.R., with a contribution of €994,000.
