CDTI Innovación, the innovation agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, as promoter of the Innvierte initiative and sole shareholder of this entity, approved during 2025 the co-investment in 45 companies, with a committed contribution from Innvierte of €145.9 million, of which €80.3 million are allocated to three strategic co-investments.

Of the approved co-investments, 19 are initial investments in new companies, and 26 are follow-on investments in portfolio companies.

Regarding the sectors, the co-investments are distributed as follows:

Non-strategic co-investments will be made alongside 71 previously accredited investors, who will contribute €83.7 million.

In addition to the co-investment commitments, participation in 7 investment vehicles has also been approved, with a financial commitment of up to €806.3 million, bringing the total commitment to €952.2 million.

So far this year, 16 new professional private investors have also been accredited, bringing the total number of accredited investors by Innvierte to 185. Of these, 144 investors are actively submitting co-investment requests to Innvierte.


Innvierte

Innvierte is an initiative aimed at promoting business innovation by supporting venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. The program operates through the closed-end investment company Innvierte Economía Sostenible SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and supervised by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), with CDTI Innovación as sole shareholder.

To date, CDTI Innovación has committed €2.661 billion in 61 investment vehicles that have invested in over 609 companies, and through its co-investment line, it has directly committed €718 million in 190 companies.

Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021–2027, approved by the Council of Ministers in September 2020. This strategy outlines the objectives, reforms, and measures to be adopted across the R&D&I ecosystem to boost its growth and impact. It serves as one of the cornerstones of the Government's R&D&I policy for the coming years.
