CaixaBank Corporate & Investment Banking has recently structured a bilateral mortgage financing of €68 million for the L’Aljub Shopping Centre, located in Elche (Alicante). The transaction has been classified as green financing.

The financed asset is the main retail landmark in its catchment area and has a total surface area of 47,676 m², hosting 110 retail units. The centre reports a very high average occupancy rate of 99.4%, consolidating its position as one of the most relevant commercial hubs in the region.

In terms of infrastructure, the shopping centre includes both underground and surface parking facilities with capacity for more than 3,000 vehicles, as well as an electric vehicle charging station with 45 parking spaces, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility.

From a sustainability perspective, L’Aljub Shopping Centre holds the BREEAM Spain Outstanding certification rating ‘Outstanding’, a recognition that highlights its strong performance in sustainability and environmental impact reduction. It also holds Zero Waste and Q-Turística certifications.
