BDO Spain has supported Oceand Winds as Financial Model & Tax and Accounting Advisory and Reviewer in achieving the financial close of BC-Wind, Ocean Winds’ first offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea.

The project has secured approximately €2 billion in project finance, backed by the European Investment Bank, ICO and a consortium of international commercial banks, marking its transition from development to construction.

BC-Wind is expected to deliver its first power in 2028 and, once fully operational, will supply renewable electricity to nearly half a million households per year in Poland, contributing to the country’s decarbonisation goals and strengthening its offshore wind industry.

"From BDO Spain, we are proud to have supported Ocean Winds throughout 2025 in a project that drives Europe’s energy transition, strengthens the local value chain, and marks a milestone for the development of offshore wind in Europe".
