BDO advises AS1 Sports on the acquisition of PROSPORT

BDO acted as advisor in the transaction that incorporates PROSPORT Ltd., the largest football agency in Greece and winner of the “Best Agency” award for five consecutive years, into AS1 Sports, the international football representation agency backed by the U.S. investment firm Bruin Capital. This transaction is part of AS1’s global expansion plan within the professional football market.

In this deal, the BDO Spain Deal Advisory team provided financial due diligence services, while BDO Greece and BDO Cyprus delivered tax, legal, and labor due diligence services, as well as full legal advice on the transaction.

AS1 currently represents over 300 players from more than 35 nationalities, competing in over 30 professional leagues worldwide. The agency’s international scale is reflected in its roster of world-class talent, including Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Luis Díaz (Bayern Munich), Piero Hincapié (Arsenal FC), and Nuno Mendes (PSG).

PROSPORT joins this partnership after consolidating its dominance in the Greek market and its prestige across Europe, representing seven international players currently on the Greek national team.

The integration of PROSPORT comes during a period of significant growth for AS1, bolstered by the resources and expertise of Bruin Capital, a fund specialized in global investments in sports and related sectors. Among other top talents, PROSPORT represents players such as Konstantinos Koulierakis (VfL Wolfsburg), Anastasios Douvikas (Como 1907), Konstantinos Tsimikas (Liverpool FC, on loan at AS Roma), and Andreas Tetteh (Panathinaikos).
