This capital will allow Aspiria, a fintech focused on Mexican businesses, to significantly expand its lending capacity and strengthen its operations nationwide.
A decade transforming access to financing
Since its founding over 10 years ago, Aspiria has built a business model based on technology and data analysis to provide agile and accessible financial solutions to Mexico’s SME segment. As a digital financial institution, it stands out for its ability to provide financing to businesses simply and efficiently at a national level within days.
Aspiria has a team of 125 professionals and serves thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises in Mexico, indirectly generating thousands of jobs across various sectors of the Mexican economy. Its mission is to provide access to financing for businesses, as approximately 80% of its clients have been unable to access traditional financing, according to Aspiria’s data. Aspiria is also committed to the energy transition, being one of the national pioneers in solar financing for businesses, promoting the electrification of Mexican businesses nationwide by providing specialized financing for the acquisition of solar panels.
“At BBVA Spark, we are committed to driving the growth of the SMEs that drive Mexico’s economy. Our financing line to Aspiria reinforces that commitment.”
“Both BBVA Spark and Aspiria share the same mission: to support Mexican entrepreneurs through financial innovation. This investment marks a new stage: we will deploy thousands of financings to strengthen and empower Mexican businesses,” said Guillermo Hernández, CEO of Aspiria.
“At BBVA Spark, we are committed to fostering the growth of SMEs that drive Mexico’s economy. Our financing line to Aspiria reinforces that commitment: to support companies that are innovating in serving the SME segment and share our vision of a more dynamic, inclusive ecosystem with greater access to capital,” added Rodrigo Velasco, Country Manager Mexico & LatAm Head, BBVA Spark.
